Hutch approaches FIPB
NEW DELHI,
SEPT. 24.
Amid the impasse over hiking FDI cap in telecom to 74 per cent in the face of opposition from Left parties, the telecom major Hutch has approached the Government for equity restructuring in its Indian venture. Hutch has made an application. It was discussed at the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (for equity recast). But we are yet to take a decision,'' the Finance Secretary, D. C. Gupta, told PTI here today.
