ANANTAPUR, SEPT. 24. An unfinished 134-run stand for the third wicket between the local lad, L.N. Prasad Reddy, and Bala Singh put South Zone in command on the second day of the four-day Andhra inter-zonal Ranji team selection cricket match with North Zone here on Friday. South already has taken a first innings lead of 136 runs, with eight wickets still remaining. L.N. Prasad Reddy made an unbeaten 109 (8x4) and Bala Singh was undefeated on 93. Bala's knock had 11 hits to the fence. Earlier, resuming its first innings at 152 for eight, North was all out for 158 in 55 overs.
North 158 vs South 294 for two (L.N. Prasad Reddy 109 not out, Bala Singh 93 not out).
