NIZAMABAD, SEPT. 24. The Nizamabad Mandal Congress Committee president, K. Nagesh Reddy, and the District Congress Committee general secretary, B. Balavardhi, have been nominated Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively of the Agricultural Market Committee, Nizamabad. The Government on Friday issued orders (G.O Ms.No.237) nominating the committee comprising 14 members including the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman. The new committee will be in office for a period of three years. The other members are: P. Umapathy, Ch. Nirmala, T. Ashok, G. Deshmukh, P. Pavan Kumar, Darya Naik, A. Purushotham Gupta, J. Mallesh, the president of the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society of Mogpal village, the Chairperson of Municipal Council, the Assistant Director, Agriculture and the Assistant Director, Marketing. The Nizamabad agriculture market is the biggest in Telangana region and the second biggest turmeric market in the country, the first being Sangli in Maharashtra.
