TIRUCHI, SEPT.24 . Hundreds of devotees today offered their worship to Sri Prasanna Venkatachalapathy at Gunaseelam, near here, on the occasion of the car festival as part of the `Brahmothsavam' currently in progress. Special Veda parayanams were performed and the processional deity was taken through the car streets around the temple. A number of men and women offered `angapradakshnam' prayer to mark the occasion. The `theerthavari' was held later in the evening. The `pallkku' festival falls on Sunday, marking the conclusion of the `Brahmothsavam'.
