Yogender Singh passes away

PUNE, SEPT. 25. The 22-year old jockey Yogender Singh, rider of Dilnawaz in the Prince Jehan Trophy, in today's Pune races, had a nasty fall from his mount, soon after the start. His mount got squeezed in between Love And Be Loved (Aadesh Kumar up) and Rose Petals (Suraj Narredu astride), which resulted in his death.

All the race-goers observed a minute's silence.
