KARWAR, SEPT. 25. The Vice-Chancellor of Karnatak University, Dharwad, M. Khajapeer, has indicated the possibility of starting marine biotechnology, MBA and MA (English) courses in the postgraduate centre here. All efforts would be made in this direction, he added. He was addressing the development council meeting at the centre on Friday. The meeting discussed the issues relating to construction of a separate wing for the commerce section, a museum of marine species and library building. The blueprint for these projects along with the estimated expenditure should be prepared by the construction wing of the university. The local MLAs, MP and others would be requested to provide help for implementing these projects. The Syndicate members Vasant Ladwa and J.R. Tergeri and the Academic Council members V.M. Hegde and Maya Gaonkar, and Prabhakar Rane, former Minister, attended the meeting.
