ROPAR, SEPT. 25. Punjab Congress chief H.S. Hanspal today said a number of district Congress presidents in the State would be changed soon. Talking to reporters here, Hanspal said one of the district Congress presidents was likely to be changed in a day or two, while about 10 others would be changed after the assembly by-elections in the state and new appointments would be made in their place. He also criticised the election of Bibi Jagir Kaur as the president of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee saying that since she was facing trial in the case relating to murder of her daughter, she should not have been made the head of the SGPC till she was cleared by the court. Hanspal also appealed to CPI and CPI (M) to withdraw their candidate from the Garhshanker seat for the forthcoming by-election and support the Congress candidate to defeat the ``communal and anti-secular forces''. He said Congress was contesting the Garhshanker seat as it had ``better chances'' to win the election in view of its hold among the voters there. \ PTI
