CPI(M) hopeful on India-Pakistan talks

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 26. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) hopes that the United Progressive Alliance Government will work towards a settlement of all issues with Pakistan through dialogue and negotiations.

In a statement here, the party's Polit Bureau welcomed the continuation of the Indo-Pakistan dialogue, initiated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly meeting. It said that India-Pakistan joint statement also "carries forward the dialogue on various aspects of bilateral relations.''
