RANCHI, SEPT. 26 . Newly-appointed Jharkhand Janata Dal (U) president Inder Singh Namdhari is facing revolt from his own party workers who do not want the JD (U) to be a ``bonded labourer'' of the BJP. The JD (U) the leaders of the party high command for unilaterally appointing Mr Namdhari as a state unit president and described him as ``corrupt'' person. Mr Namdhari, refuting the charges, said he has already taken an initiative for seat adjustment with the BJP in the Assembly elections to be held in January. On the other hand, former minister and senior JD (U) leader Ram Chandra Kesri has indicated that if necessary, they would revive the Samata Party. The sources said another group of the party had earlier stated that they might join the RJD during the visit of Lalu Prasad Yadav here tomorrow. On the other hand the ruling BJP is gearing up for the polls and is confident of retaining power though one of its senior leader and party's national vice-president Babulal Marandi had expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of the government and urged it to speed up implementation of various developmental projects. The BJP is also holding a two-day state level conference at Dhanbad from tomorrow which would be attended among others by party's national president Venkaiah Naidu, senior leaders Rajnath Singh, who is also the state party in-charge, Hriday Nath and Kailashpati Mishra. Chief Minister Arjun Munda and other state leaders would also participate in the conference. The Congress had already begun their campaign enthused by the last Lok Sabha election results where they secured six out of the 14 seats. Their alliance partner JMM had drawn up new strategies after the release of its supremo Sibu Soren from the jail on bail recently. Mr Soren visited different drought-affected areas of the state and criticised the government for its alleged failure to provide relief to the affected people. In the last Lok Sabha elections, the Congress, JMM, RJD and the Left parties had jointly fought the elections and won 13 out of 14 seats. -- UNI
