Abhishek cracks century
KOCHI,
SEPT. 26.
Kerala junior star Abhishek Hegde (101, 65 balls, 5x6, 12x4) and Arun Kumar grabbed five wickets as Century CC (Ernakulam) drubbed Mattancherry Youngsters Cricket Association by eight wickets in the opening first phase match of the 54th Pooja all-India cricket tournament at the Tripunithura Palace Oval here on Sunday.
The Kerala Sports Minister Dominic Presentation inaugurated the tournament.
The scores: MYCA, Mattancherry 173 in 32.1 overs (Nikhil 34, Harikumar 60, Arun Kumar five for 45, Abdul Samath three for 35) lost to Century CC, Ernakulam 175 for two in 24.5 overs (Abhishek Hegde 101).
