VISAKHAPATNAM, SEPT. 26. A distressed farmer of Appalnaidupalem in Rambilli mandal of the district committed suicide on Sunday. The farmer, Lalam Appalakonda, 58, had sold off his ancestral properties and was cultivating a private land by raising a loan of Rs.1 lakh. However, he had incurred loss. He was frustrated about the loss for the last one week. He had jumped into a well in the morning, police said. Villagers found his body later. His three children include a daughter of marriageable age.
