Prakash Amritraj crashes out
BANGKOK,
SEPT. 27.
India's Prakash Amritraj crashed out of the Thai Open, beaten 6-3, 6-3 by Brazilian Flavio Saretta in the first round on Monday.
In other first round action, Swede Thomas Johansson upset sixth-seeded Spaniard Feliciano Lopez 6-1, 2-6, 7-6(4).
Paes, Bhupathi advance
Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, playing together for the first time since the Athens Games, got past the first hurdle, beating Attila Savolt and Jiri Vanek 6-2, 6-1.

First round:
Singles: Flavio Saretta bt Prakash Amritraj 6-3, 6-3; Thomas Johansson bt Feliciano Lopez 6-1, 2-6, 7-6(4). Doubles: Leander Paes/Mahesh Bhupathi bt Attila Savolt/Jiri Vanek 6-2, 6-1.
