NEW DELHI, SEPT. 27. Taking the fare war a step forward, Jet Airways today expanded its low night fare scheme on two metro sectors of Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Bangalore. The leading private operator announced attractive `Night Saver' fares ranging from Rs. 1,700 to Rs. 4,250. Effective from October 6, the Delhi-Bangalore-Delhi sector will see introduction of Boeing 737-700 flight 9W 819, departing Delhi at 2230 hours, arriving Bangalore at 0105 hours and 9W 820 departing Bangalore at 2230 hours and arriving Delhi at 0110 hours. Jet Airway has already introduced `Night Saver' flights between Mumbai-Dehli-Mumbai, Mumbai-Bangalore-Mumbai, Mumbai-Hyderabad-Mumbai routes at reduced fares. These would not be on five levels and a passenger can buy the tickets at these rates without any condition. Observing that the initiative was announced to mark the `World Tourism Day' today, the private carrier said that the fares on Delhi-Mumbai sector would be effective from October 1 and on Delhi-Bangalore sector from October 6. The Delhi-Mumbai fares at five levels would be Rs. 1,700, Rs. 2,100, Rs. 2,650, Rs. 3,350 and Rs. 4,250, the maximum being almost 40 per cent below the normal economy fare. Similarly, the Delhi-Bangalore fares would be Rs. 2,000, Rs. 2,700, Rs. 3,700, Rs. 4,700 and Rs. 5,850. Waitlisted or open tickets would not be allowed on these fares.
