CUDDAPAH, SEPT. 27. The Army Branch Recruitment Officer, Guntur, Lt. Col. P.S. Sangwan, said on Monday that an Army branch recruitment centre would be set up in Cuddapah shortly The official inspected Government buildings in Cuddapah town and later held discussions with the Collector, Jayesh Ranjan, Joint Collector, G. Jayalakshmi and the Superintendent of Police, V.C. Sajjanar, on allotment of a suitable building for the proposed centre. Lt. Col. Sangwan later addressed youth undergoing pre-Army recruitment training at Rajiv Smrithi Vanam and advised them not to be lured by offers of selection by middlemen. The selection would be purely based on physical fitness, medical examination and their performance, he stated. The District Youth Welfare Officer, B. Maheswara Reddy, He urged the candidates interested in the Army recruitment rally to be held on October 8 to contact him on phone No. 241617 for obtaining relevant details.
