Salwan Boys wins Himalaya Cup
NEW DELHI,
SEPT. 27.
Salwan Boys School won the Himalaya Cup under-15 inter-school cricket tournament beating DL DAV School, Shalimar Bagh, by an innings and 24 runs at the Bharat Nagar ground here.
DAV School managed just 140 in the allotted 50 overs in its forst innings to which Salwan Boys School replied with 269 for seven. Shobhit Kaushik (69) and Nakul Chopra (47) were the chief scorers.
In its second innings, DAV School was restricted to 105 in the allotted 30 overs.
The scores: DL DAV School (Shalimar Bagh) 140 for eight in 50 overs (Sandeep Kaushik 44) and 105 for six in 30 overs lost to Salwan Boys School 269 for seven in 50 overs (Shobhit Kaushik 69, Nakul Chopra 47).
