SGPC condemns attack

AMRITSAR, SEPT. 27. Taking serious note of the attack on the historical Nankana Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandhak Committee (SGPC) president, Bibi Jagir Kaur, today asked the Pakistan Government to take immediate action against the attackers and ensure the safety of the Sikh community there.

In a statement, she urged the President, A P J Abdul Kalam, and the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, to immediately take up the matter with their respective counterparts in Pakistan and to ensure the protection of life and property of Sikhs living there. _ PTI
