NEW DELHI, SEPT. 27. A 28-year-old man who allegedly stabbed to death his two cousins and then attempted suicide at Srinivaspuri in South Delhi, has been arrested. According to the police, the incident apparently occurred around 6 p.m. on Monday when Saniel George, Staney Thomas and Raney Kurien, were having drinks in the rented accommodation of their cousin, Shenjel Thomas. The police said Shenjel, who works as a computer operator in a company at Bhikaji Kama Place, was not home at that time. While the drinking session was on, a fight broke out between the cousins following which Saniel attacked the other two with a knife and stabbed them to death. He then tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrist. In the meantime, the landlady heard the commotion and came down to find all three of them lying in a pool of blood. She immediately informed Shenjel on his mobile phone and called up the police. The three were rushed to a hospital where Staney and Reney were declared dead on arrival. The police have registered a murder case and are waiting for Saniel to recuperate following which his statement would be taken and subsequently he will be taken into custody. The police said the three cousins had come from Kerala about a week ago. Further probe into the matter is on.
