Sir, — The NCP leader, Sharad Pawar, has said he was ready to accept Sonia Gandhi as Prime Minister. He left the Congress on the issue of her leadership but has now backtracked.

Another example of the favourite mantra: "There are no permanent foes or friends in politics.
