Letters to the Editor
Sir, I refer to the mindless attack on the nuns and priests of the Missionaries of Charity in Kerala. Instead of being appreciative of the services they render to the poor and destitute, some elements driven by paranoia have perpetrated the crime. What have the selfless missionaries done to deserve this?
Sir, Repeated attacks by religious fanatics in different parts of the country are a reflection of the religious intolerance that has crept into our social system.
Jyothi B. Shetty,
Sir, It is well known that a foreigner on a visitor visa is not allowed to engage in religious activities. One of the attacked priests is reportedly overstaying on his visitor's visa. Why did the police not act against him even while it wasted no time rounding up RSS activists for questioning?
V.A. Gopala,
