Annual conference of PAT
COIMBATORE: The Golden Jubilee Commemoration and the 51st annual conference of the Planters' Association of Tamil Nadu (PAT) will be held on October 9 at Coonoor. A release from the association said the Governor, P. S. Ramamohan Rao, would inaugurate the programme. A technical session would also be organised and A. Damodaran, Homi Bhabha Fellow, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, would speak on "A peep into the challenges and opportunities for the Plantation Industry In South India, in the early decades of the 21st Century". — Our Staff Reporter
