Gramin Bank branch bags award
KOZHIKODE: The Nediyiruppu branch of the South Malabar Gramin Bank (SMGB) has bagged the proficiency prize for efficient management of the largest number of self-help groups under the Swarna Jayanthi Grama Swarasgar Yojana scheme of the Central Government. The award was received by SMGB Area Manager, S. Rajiv, and Nediyiruppu Branch Manager, C. Kumaran, from the Divisional Manager of Canara Bank, V. Hariharan, at a meeting of the district banking review committee held at Malappuram Hill Fort recently. Mahima self-help group was presented the award for best performance among self help groups which had received support from SMGB's Nediyiruppu branch. — Our Special Correspondent
