While the drinking session was on, a fight broke out between the cousins following which Saniel attacked the other two with a knife and stabbed them to death. He then tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrist. In the meantime, the landlady heard the commotion and came down to find all three of them lying in a pool of blood. She immediately informed Shenjel on his mobile phone and called up the police.
The three were rushed to a hospital where Staney and Reney were declared dead on arrival. The police have registered a murder case and are waiting for Saniel to recuperate following which his statement would be taken and subsequently he will be taken into custody. The police said the three cousins had come from Kerala about a week ago. Further probe into the matter is on.
Racket busted
Five young women and a man were arrested from different parts of the Capital on Sunday on charges of their involvement in prostitution.
Acting on a tip-off that a prostitution racket was being run from a massage parlour at Rani Bagh, the police sent a decoy to strike a deal. The parlour owner, Ayub, paraded three young women before the decoy after which the police team raided the place and arrested them.
In another case, the New Delhi police arrested two young women from Gole Market for their alleged involvement in the flesh trade.
