Jeffin scalps five
KOCHI,
SEPT. 28.
Medium-pacer Jeffin Francis (5-34) helped Alappuzha trounce Kottayam by 81 runs in the Kerala State under-17 inter-district cricket championship at the St Paul's College Ground, Kalamassery, on Tuesday.
The other match, between Thiruvananthapuram and Idukki was called off owing to heavy rain.
The scores: Alappuzha 194 for seven in 40 overs (Dhanesh 57 n.o., Tinku Sathish 41, Ajeesh Kumar four for 47) bt Kottayam 113 in 34.2 overs (Jeffin Francis five for 34).
