Central-South match drawn

PALAKKAD, SEPT. 28. Palakkad fast bowler M. Renjith grabbed four wickets but Central Zone's two-day match against South in the State under-15 inter-zone cricket championship ended in a draw at the Fort Maidan here on Tuesday.

Central gained the first innings lead but heavy rain in the afternoon brought the match, the last of the three-team league, to an early close.

Probables for camp

The Kerala Cricket Association picked the following 20 probables for the under-15 State camp, which begins at the Municipal Stadium (Thalassery) on Sept. 30:

Sachin Mohan, Sachin Baby, Philip K. Joseph, M.K. Arjun, Kabeer, K. Shyju, Ali Asgar Iqbal Hussain, Bipin Chattterjee, Nicel A. Rahim, M. Renjith, R. Sandeep, Chackochan S. Mulikan, Ronson B. Puthenpura, Tomy Alexander, Mohammed Naseef, Yashin Johar, G.M. Ansal, Rakesh J. Sudhir, P.P. Jibin Lal and Jismon James.

The scores: Central 139 in 60 overs (Sachin Mohan four for 18) drew with South 90 in 50.4 overs (M. Renjith four for 24). — Our Principal Correspondent
