I was vindicated, says incharge civic chief

CUDDAPAH,
SEPT. 28.
The incharge Proddatur Municipal Chairman, Rachamallu Prasada Reddy, asserted on Tuesday that the Lok Ayukta enquiry proved his charges of misuse of funds by the sacked Municipal Chairperson, Panyam Savithramma.
Addressing a press conference here, he maintained that the Proddatur MLA, N. Varadarajulu Reddy, was no way connected with his complaint, lodged two and a half years ago, against Ms. Savithramma.
Refuting TDP leaders' charges of corruption against the MLA, Mr. Prasada Reddy asserted that he would quit his vice-chairmanship post and Congress councillors would resign if the latter proved their charges.
