NEW DELHI, SEPT. 28. Government Higher Secondary School (Dimapur) will meet BSL IVE High School (Bokaro) in the final of the Subroto Cup junior tournament here on Thursday. The Nagaland school made it to the final beating Government Higher Secondary School (Malacca, Carnicobar) 7-6 on penalties after both teams were tied 2-2 at the end of the regulation time. The boys from Carnicobar shot into the lead in the 28th minute through Andrew before Joseph struck to draw level four minutes later. The Nagaland school then took a 2-1 lead through Lemtang's 70th minute strike, but Invanlo (75th) forced the tie-breaker. While Nagaland school scored on all the five spot kicks taken by Toshi, Asian, Peter, Joseph and Saku Carnicobar missed one to lose 7-6. In the other semifinal, BSL IVE blanked Oxford Higher Secondary School (Aizwal) 3-0. Subhankar Das (fourth minute), Dipankar (40th) and Jonathan Lalsanzuala (55th) were the scorers.
