Ramaswamy elected MRC Chairman

CHENNAI, SEPT. 28. Dr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy was unanimously elected Chairman and Senior Steward of the Madras Race Club (MRC) at the Committee Meeting held here today. Mr. K. Balarama Das was elected Deputy Chairman.

The other office-bearers:

Members of Committee of Management (for a period of three years): Mr. O.M.Sp.L.AL. Alagappa Chettiar, Mr. P.M. Antony, Mr. V.S. Dhanasekar and Mr. M. Vijayakrishna.

Other Committee members: Dr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy, Mr. K. Balarama Das, Dr. Gnani Laksumanan, Mr. Md. Javeed Ghatala, Mr. S.S. Mothilal, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Mr. R. Ramakrishnan and Mr. S. Rangarajan.

Govt. nominees of the Committee: Mr. S. Rajarethinam (IAS), Mr. R. Satapathy (IAS), Ms. Sheela Rani Chunkath (IAS) and Ms. Susan Mathew (IAS).
