MANGALORE, SEPT. 28. Low voltage, voltage fluctuation, and interruption in power supply were some of the issues discussed in a meeting between officials of the Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM), N. Yogish Bhat, Mangalore MLA, and electricity consumers at the MESCOM corporate office here on Monday. Presiding over the meeting, Mr. Bhat said the powerhouses at Mannagudda, Kodialbail, and Central Maidan areas were receiving poor electricity supply while the new powerhouses at Alake, Jeppu, Gurupur, and three other places had not started functioning. Aravind G. Risbudd, Managing Director of MESCOM, answered several questions and said MESCOM had started a "Complaints Service Centre" at its corporate office to take care of the complaints received by it. Efforts were on to solve the low voltage problems in all feeder lines, he added.
