SRIPERUMPUDUR, SEPT. 28. The idol of Sri Veeraraghavaswamy of the Sri Veeraraghavaswami Temple, Tiruvallur, will be brought to Sriperumpudur on September 30 for `darshan' of devotees during the annual Sri Desikan festival. The decorated idol will leave Tiruvallur temple on September 29 night and reach the north bank of the `Pushkarani' (temple tank) the next morning. After the anointment, pujasand procession, the deity will be taken back to Tiruvallur on October 1. The Jeer of Sri Ahobila Mutt, Srimath Azhagiyasingar, will participate in the festival, which was revived last year after 54 years, a temple release said.
