The Chief Minister, Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy, in a statement issued here on Tuesday, thanked the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee, voluntary agencies and police and other departments for their cooperation in the peaceful conduct of Ganesh immersion in the city. The Home Minister, K. Jana Reddy, also thanked all sections of people for the smooth conduct of immersion in the State and particularly in the Twin Cities. Talking to reporters here today, he complimented the police for their "excellent work" and said the Government was happy that even Muslims had taken part in the rituals giving a clear message of Hindu-Muslim unity.
