BANGALORE, SEPT. 28. The Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell will hold the casual vacancy round seat-selection process to fill unallotted seats for diploma holders seeking admission to second year/third semester B.E. in day and evening colleges on October 3, 9 and 10. The candidates should have taken the CET held in May. On October 3, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., all CET rank holders with work experience of six years and above could attend counselling at the CET Cell for admission to evening colleges based in Mysore. For those with less than six years' experience, counselling will start at 11 a.m. on the same day. For admission to evening colleges in Bangalore, students with work experience of six years and above could attend counselling on October 9, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. For those with less than six years' experience, counselling will begin at 11 a.m. For admission to day engineering colleges, the casual vacancy round will be conducted on October 10. Rank-holders from 1 to 900 could select the seats available between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.; those with ranks 901 to 1,800 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; ranks 1,801 to 2,800 between 1.30 p.m. and 3 p.m.; and ranks from 2,801 to the last rank from 3.30 p.m. till the end of counselling. The candidates should take to the CET Cell the relevant records and demand drafts as payment of admission fees. The vacancy position will be announced a day before the counselling on the CET Cell websites: http://kar.nic.in/cet and www.dte.kar.nic.in.
