LUCKNOW, SEPT. 29. The Centre today clarified that there was no proposal to withdraw the NSG cover to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. A communique in this regard had been received by the State Government from the Union Home Ministry, official sources said here. On September 21, the state Director General of Police had received a letter from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) stating the NSG cover to the Chief Minister was being withdrawn. When approached, the Union Home Ministry clarified there was no such proposal and the NSG cover to Mr. Yadav would continue, the sources said. The communique also said the IB letter was issued ``wrongly'' and would be withdrawn, the sources said. -- PTI
