HC notice to Pappu Yadav

PATNA, SEPT. 29. The Patna High Court today issued a showcause notice to the former MP and Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, who is contesting the Madhepura Lok Sabha byelection, to explain his presence in the Patna Central Jail, Beur, and why action should not be taken against him for the same.

A Division Bench directed Mr. Yadav to be present in the court and file his affidavit by October 6.
