BANGALORE, SEPT. 29. Unseeded Vinod Gowda of Karnataka defeated fourth seed R. Vighneshvaran of Tamil Nadu 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-4 to make the second round of the boys' under-14 singles in the Nike-Bhupathi Tennis Village's AITA Talent Series here on Wednesday.

Vinod also entered the boys' under-12 singles quarterfinals with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Aravind Kumar.
