Visakhapatnam
VISAKHAPATNAM, SEPT. 29. A woman riding a moped was killed when she was run over by an RTC bus that was trying to overtake her. The accident occurred near Yendada on Wednesday morning. The woman, Pedagadi Ushapriya, 45, left her residence on her moped to drop her daughter, Kalyanipriya, 17, at school near Kommadi. The RTC bus overtook her and hit her vehicle in the process. Ushapriya's daughter, on the pillion, escaped with minor injury.
Two arrested
The CISF personnel at the Visakhapatnam Port Trust on Tuesday arrested two persons who were carrying control rods and brake hand wheel of railway wagons from the VPT yard and handed them over to the Harbour police.
