Police team leaves for Thanjavur

BANGALORE, SEPT. 29. A team of police officials has left for Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu in search of a sepoy who is accused of kidnapping an ex-serviceman from Bharati Nagar Police Station limits. The police said the accused, Selvakumar, has disappeared from the military campus without permission after he was questioned about the kidnapping of Om Prakash, a retired Subedar. As Kumar hails from Thanjavur, the police have gone there in search of him. The military officials said they had permitted the police to apprehend Kumar and search his house.
