Four killed in road accidents

BANGALORE, SEPT. 29. Four persons were killed in road accidents since Tuesday in the city.

Mahesh (18), cleaner of a milk tanker, died when it hit a stationary lorry at Pantharpalya on Mysore Road in the early hours of Wednesday.

A cyclist was killed when a motorcycle hit him in BTM Layout around 6.30 a.m. on Wednesday, the police said.

Another cyclist, Swaminathan (42), who received serious head injuries when a BMTC bus hit him on Tuesday night on Tigalarapalya Main Road in Peenya Police Station limits, died on the spot, according to the police.

Srirama Bovi (40) of Harohalli on Kanakapura Road died on Cubbon Road on Tuesday night in a hit-and-road case, the police said.

Chain snatched

Two persons snatched a gold chain worth Rs. 15,000 from Smitha of CSDS Layout, 3rd Stage, Vijayanagar, when she was returning home from a clinic along with her mother on Tuesday night. The police said the chain-snatcher escaped in an autorickshaw. The Vijayanagar police have registered a case.
