Junior doctors threaten stir from today
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
SEPT. 29.
The Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors Association (APJUDA) has threatened to go on strike from Thursday, protesting the delay in issue of stipends to its members.
In a statement here on Wednesday, APJUDA president, B. R. Suresh Babu, said in spite of repeated representations by the association to the Director of Medical Education, the Health Secretary and the Agriculture Minister, N. Raghuveera Reddy, junior doctors were not given their stipend for the last five months. The delay was continuing even after the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, had ordered the officials concerned on September 25 to solve the issue within four days.
