NEW DELHI, SEPT. 29. Delhi High Court today issued suo motu notice to CPWD and the NDMC on news reports alleging that unauthorised constructions were being carried out in many official houses belonging to VIPs in the Lutyen's Bungalow Zone in Central Delhi. A division bench comprising Chief Justice B C Patel and Justice B D Ahmed issued notice to Central Public Works Department (CPWD) Chief Engineer and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on the basis of reports published in an English daily. The paper claimed that `extra constructions' had taken place in violation of the LBZ guidelines in bungalows of 38 MPs. Earlier, Justice A K Sikri had taken congnizance of the reports and referred the matter to the Chief Justice's bench that deals with PILs, observing that it was a fit case for the Court to issue notice to the NDMC, Centre.
