NEW DELHI, SEPT. 29. Some moments of concern were witnessed at the Domestic Terminal 1B of the Indira Gandhi International Airport yesterday when a passenger of an Air Sahara flight bound for Pune was caught carrying four live rounds of ammunition in his hand baggage. The passenger, Manoj Kumar Ahuja, had reached the airport around 5 p.m. yesterday to board the flight S2-6131. When he reached Terminal 1B for the pre-embarkation security check and placed his hand baggage on the X-ray machine for screening, Sub Inspector R.K. Dhankar of the CISF observed the image of some ammunition in it. The alert cop immediately summoned the bag for a physical check. His colleague, Sub Inspector Anil Kumar, checked the bag and found four live rounds of .32 bore, bearing calibre mark 7.65 in the bag. The passenger informed that he was in possession of a valid arms licence. Checking of his arms licence revealed that it was indeed valid and genuine, the CISF personnel confiscated the rounds and allowed him to board the flight.
