THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, OCT. 1. The LDF convener, Paloli Mohammed Kutty, appears to have got pitted against the Leader of the Opposition, V. S. Achuthanandan, on account of a media gaffe. Mr. Mohammed Kutty, who has been accused of having commented that Mr. Achuthanandan should not have aired his views on inner party issues in party forums, said here today that he was misunderstood by the media. "I was asked to comment on VS's reported statement that there would be an inquiry against me as well. I merely said that it is not proper to air one's views at news conferences implying that whatever I have to say I will say in the party forum concerned. But I was reported as having said that it was not proper for VS to have voiced his opinion in a news conference," the LDF convener explained when asked to comment on the controversy.
