Fathima, Preetha run riot
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
OCT. 1.
Fathima Mary and Preetha Gerald enabled host Thiruvananthapuram blank Idukki 7-0 and enter the semifinals of the State women's junior football championship at the Jai Hind stadium, Puthenthope here on Friday.
Fathima struck in the 12th, 15th, 43rd and 53rd minutes, while Preetha scored in the 8th, 39th and 47th minutes as the host completed a resounding win.
At the University stadium Ernakulam edged out Wayand 5-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the semfinals. The teams were level 1-1 at the end of regular time.
