LONDON, OCT. 2. The British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, who returned home after a successful heart operation on Friday, said he was "absolutely fine'' and, to set at rest doubts about his health, his office said he would go ahead with a scheduled visit to Africa on Monday. The operation, which lasted more than two hours, was described as a "routine procedure'' to stabilise his irregular heartbeat but speculation remained whether he would be able to stand the sheer physical stress of a `24/7' job after two operations in less than a year. Tensions in the Labour Party and the Government rose as supporters of the Chancellor, Gordon Brown, who is regarded as the prime minister-in-waiting accused Mr. Blair of blocking his way.
