Chiman Prakash, playing with black pieces, defeated Akhilesh in the second round of the under-11 selection chess tournament being conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Chess Association here on Saturday.
The results: Boys: Akhilesh (1) lost to Chiman Prasad (2); Vijaykanth (2) bt Srikar (nil); Kansal (1) lost to Vishwanath Parsad (2); Srinivasa Varma (2) bt Sai Akshay (1); Sai Kiran Babu (2) bt K.Vishwanath (nil).
Girls: Anusha (2) bt Tapaswini (1); Bavana (2) bt Sasanka (1); Susmitha (2) bt Sahajasri (nil).
