THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, OCT. 2. The police have questioned several people, including the sexton and a priest in connection with the fire at the St. Thomas Mar Thoma church in Pattoor . The police have taken the fingerprints of same persons closely associated with the affairs of the church. Earlier, the single digit bureau had lifted two prints from the scene of crime. The prints have been developed and they are being compared with those taken by the police. The statements given by the sexton and the priest are being verified. A microphone has been reported missing from the church. However, the police believe that theft was not the motive behind the crime. The police have made some inferences from the graffiti on the church wall, blaming the RSS, BJP and VHP for the incident. It was written `BJP A RSS VHP ACT'.
