Cloudy skies

CHENNAI, OCT. 2. The sky will be generally cloudy with a few spells of rain on Sunday. On Saturday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25. The rainfall was 1.8 mm and the humidity was 92 per cent.

Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 28.7 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.8. The rainfall was 1.8 mm and humidity was 90 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended in parts of Ennore between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday for maintenance work.

Bank branch

UTI Bank opened a new branch on the Velachery-Tambaram Main Road on Friday. P.J.Nayak, Chairman and Managing Director, inaugurated the branch.

Wildlife Week

Wildlife Week celebrations commenced at the Guindy Childrens' Park on Saturday. Entry fee will not be charged during the week, a release said.
