Letters to the Editor
Sir, On Indian Post's 150 years of service, I wish to suggest a few things. In residential areas, post offices should be open from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. The delivery schedule should be by way of shift early in the morning and late in the evening. As most families have working couples, the 10-5 delivery time appears to be unsuitable. Attempts can also be made to combine postal services with some marketing efforts to exploit the customer base effectively. A little gearing up by post offices will give the private courier companies a run for their money.
