TIRUCHI, OCT. 3. Bharathidasan University has made available one of its advanced scientific facilities, FT-NMR (Fourier Transform - Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectrometer, at its School of Chemistry, for use by research scholars and Research and Development (industrial) personnel.

In a statement issued here on Friday, M. Additional charges would be collected for using special solvents.

He said the FT-NMR was one of the most powerful non-destructive techniques in explaining the molecular structure of chemical and biological compounds.

Mr.Krishnan said the facility, also available at the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, was widely used for characterisation of compounds in chemistry, biology, medicine, pharmaceuticals etc.
