KHAMMAM, OCT. 3. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leader, Gopagani Shankar Rao, on Sunday urged the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, to look into the proposal to set up the Manuguru super thermal power station, which was aimed at providing employment for some 5,000 youths. He said the State committee of the party was actively pursuing the issue with the Government. He said the project, which was estimated to cost Rs. 1,447 crores in 1986, was the need of the hour for the region. He alleged that the project was delayed inordinately even after grant of consent by the Government.
