BANGALORE, OCT. 3. Cricket fever it might have been in the city on Sunday as Australians arrived for their Test match here in three days, but for some residents there was more to worry about than just wet pitches. Even as many would have enjoyed pleasant weather from the late evening showers that spared most commuters in the city, some residents in low-lying areas were put to hardship. In what has become a regular feature with no end in sight, rain brings with it a deluge of problems for people in these areas. The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike's (BMP) control room personnel said they received complaints of water entering houses in KHB Colony, Basaveshwar Nagar 2nd Stage, and in Papaiah Garden. "We had immediately despatched help," the BMP control room personnel said.
